YLSNE 32

Every summer my mother and I experiment with something new in our garden. This year we're trying cantaloupe and fennel. I was looking up a little bit about fennel on the Internet today, mostly wondering about thinning and when it is ready for harvest. But I happened to notice a small note on one website that mentioned that you shouldn't plant fennel and dill too close together because they can cross pollinate. If they do cross pollinate the fennel seeds will taste bland and weird. I think our dill and fennel are far enough apart, but if the fennel seeds end up tasting funny, I'll know why.
