YLSNE 31
While watching some olympic coverage of men's volleyball, I noticed that there was one team member on both sides that had a different uniform from their teammates. How odd I thought, so looked it up. Each team has a Libero, which is a defensive specialist. They can only play from the back row and can be substituted in at any point in the game. They have to wear uniforms that are different so opposing teams and referees know who they are. Shortly after looking this up, the commentator said almost the exact same thing, but then mentioned that the 2000 Olympics were the first time Liberos were used in Olympic volleyball. Hmm, weird.

I've really enjoyed this segment of your writing. YLSNE is a great idea.
