I was wondering what all the hoopla over the NASA rover Curiosity was about today. Then I learned what the "7 minutes of terror" entailed and that there was only a 40% chance for a successful landing. And that NASA couldn't communicate in real time with Curiosity, but that there was a 13 minute delay. So the fact that there was a picture perfect landing on Mars is pretty amazing.
