Today I learned that there is about a cup and a half of beer in a bottle. I was making bread that had beer as an ingredient, and I thought I would have a lot more beer leftover after adding 1-1/4 cup that the recipe called for.

I also learned a little bit more about interdisciplinary academic research, as I was doing a bit of background reading on previous research for the paper I am writing. I learned that my own experiences on an interdisciplinary team the past few years are quite ordinary, both the pros and the cons.
