The other day I somehow screwed up some setting on my computer and I was no longer able to download documents off the internet. When I tried, an empty new tab would open up every time. When neither restarting my computer nor resetting Firefox helped, I became determined to figure out what the heck happened. I also had the added motivation of really needing some readings from the library today. And I did figure it out, without a single bit of help from my tech-y brother. It's a proud moment. I now know that when in doubt, always head to "preferences" first.
