So, what did I learn today? Good question. I learned that there is tight security on the control towers at airports. But I got to sneak into one today, thanks to my mom and her boss who are visiting Ottawa this week.
I learned that Vygotsky believes that children's language is at first social and becomes individualised, which is opposite of Piaget's theories (Or I've just read the last 5 chapters totally wrong.).
I learned that the famous anthropologist Clifford Geertz was a big fan of "thick description." (As explained to me by a 1st year undergraduate.)
And I learned that it is harder to hammer a nail into plaster than into drywall.
