YLSNE 114

Reading Bakhtin this morning, I learned several new words:

Enconium (enˈkōmēəm) - a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly.

Augury (ˈôgyərē) - a sign of what will happen in the future; an omen.

Entelechy (enˈteləkē) - the realization of potential.

Bogatyr - is a stock character in medieval East Slavic legend, akin to a Western European knight-errant.

It's a good thing I've learned some new interesting words from this particular bout of reading, because I haven't quite learned what I'm supposed to glean from it yet, at least in respect to the degree I am working on.
